Contact Support

For assistance with Ouro, email support@ouroloop.app. Privacy and data-rights requests should be sent to privacy@ouroloop.app.

To help us investigate a technical issue, include:

  • a brief description of what you expected and what occurred;
  • the screen or feature you were using;
  • your iPhone model, iOS version, and Ouro version;
  • a screenshot, if it is useful and does not contain information you prefer not to share; and
  • for purchase issues, the product, purchase date, and available Apple receipt or transaction details.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card information, or health records unless support specifically confirms that the information is necessary.

Quick Troubleshooting

Reminders are not arriving

  1. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → Ouro. Confirm that Allow Notifications is enabled and select the notification types you want to receive.
  2. Review Scheduled Summary. If Ouro is included, notifications may be held until the scheduled delivery time.
  3. Review Focus and Do Not Disturb settings and allow Ouro during any schedule that overlaps a medication reminder.
  4. In Ouro, open Settings → Reminders and confirm that the reminder is enabled with the expected time.
  5. If you recently changed time zones, open Ouro so it can refresh the reminder schedule.

The widget or Live Activity is not updating

  1. Open Ouro after logging an entry to refresh its current data.
  2. If Low Power Mode is enabled, turn it off temporarily and allow iOS time to refresh the widget.
  3. For Live Activities, open iPhone Settings → Ouro and confirm that Live Activities is enabled.
  4. Remove the widget from the Home Screen and add it again from the widget gallery.
  5. Restart the iPhone if the displayed information remains stale.

Ouro Plus did not restore after reinstalling

  1. Confirm that the iPhone is signed in to the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
  2. In Ouro, open Settings → Account → Restore Purchases.
  3. Open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions and confirm that the subscription is active, if applicable.
  4. If access is still unavailable, contact support with the product, purchase date, and available Apple receipt or transaction details.

History did not appear on a new iPhone

  1. If you previously enabled Ouro cloud backup, sign in with the same account on the new iPhone and enable restore or backup in Settings → Data.
  2. If you did not enable cloud backup, restore the new iPhone from an iPhone backup that contains the App and its local data.
  3. Confirm that your history is present on the new iPhone before erasing, selling, or trading in the former device.
  4. Use Restore Purchases separately to restore Ouro Plus access.

A barcode will not scan

  1. Place the barcode fully inside the frame in even light and hold the device steady. Curved or reflective packaging can interfere with scanning.
  2. If the barcode is recognized but no result appears, the product may not be included in the available nutrition database.
  3. Search for the item by name or enter the nutrition-label values manually.
  4. Save the entry as a custom food if you expect to use it again.

Apple Health information is not appearing or syncing

  1. Open the Health app → your profile picture → Apps and Services → Ouro.
  2. Review the separate permissions for reading and writing each data category.
  3. Enable the weight, activity, body-composition, strength, nutrition, or fluid permissions that you want Ouro to use.
  4. Reopen Ouro after changing permissions so the App can refresh.

Apple Health permissions do not necessarily apply retroactively to entries created before access was granted.

Getting Started

Which medications and schedules are supported?

Ouro supports common GLP-1 and dual-agonist medications, including semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide, and dulaglutide, as well as compounded equivalents and custom regimens. It accommodates weekly injections, daily injections, and daily pills.

If your medication is not listed, select the custom option and enter the schedule prescribed to you. Ouro records the schedule you provide; it does not determine which medication, dose, or schedule you should use.

Is an account required?

No. Core App features may be used without creating an account, and local entries remain on the iPhone. Signing in enables account-based features such as optional cloud backup and restoration on another device.

Can a medication schedule be corrected later?

Yes. Correcting a recorded administration date or schedule updates the related countdown and treatment-day display without deleting prior logs. If you are uncertain when medication should be taken, consult your prescription instructions, pharmacist, or prescriber rather than relying on an estimate in the App.

What are Fuel, Flow, Motion, and Dose?

These are the four tracking areas used in Ouro: food and nutrition, hydration, movement, and medication. They provide a consolidated daily view of information you choose to record.

04

Medication and Reminders

What does the medication curve show?

The curve is an illustration calculated from the medication, schedule, and dose information you enter. It is not a measurement of medication in your body, a pharmacokinetic assessment, or a clinical recommendation. Do not use it to decide when or how much medication to take.

Does Ouro tell me when to take medication?

No. Reminders repeat the schedule you recorded for a shot or pill. They do not set, recommend, or adjust a dose. Always follow the instructions provided by your prescriber and pharmacist.

How do I record a prescribed dose change?

Log the new dose when you first take or administer it. Earlier entries retain the dose originally recorded so that history and summaries remain accurate. Ouro does not determine whether a dose change is appropriate.

How does the injection-site map work?

When recording an injection, you may select the site used. The App displays recent sites as a memory aid. Follow the rotation guidance supplied by your prescriber, pharmacist, and medication instructions; the map is not individualized medical guidance.

05

Food and Meal Planning

How accurate are photo meal estimates?

Photo-based nutrition values are estimates. Images may not reveal ingredients, cooking fats, added sugars, exact quantities, or preparation methods. Review and edit the values before saving. Barcode and verified nutrition-label entries will generally be more precise.

Can food entries be corrected?

Yes. Calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and serving size may be edited before or after an entry is saved.

How are allergies and dietary preferences used?

Allergies, excluded foods, and dietary preferences can be entered in Settings and are used to tailor meal suggestions and recipe results. Suggestions may still be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify ingredient labels, preparation methods, and cross-contamination risk independently.

Can an individual meal be changed?

Yes. A meal may be replaced without rebuilding the entire day. Excluded foods and recent selections are used to reduce unwanted repetition.

How is the grocery list prepared?

The grocery list combines ingredients from planned meals, consolidates repeated items, and organizes them by aisle where possible. Review quantities and product labels before purchasing.

Why does Ouro emphasize protein?

Protein is included as a visible nutrition target because it can be useful when overall appetite is reduced. Individual needs vary. Follow advice from a qualified healthcare professional for targets appropriate to your health, medications, and dietary needs.

06

Ouro Plus and Billing

Which features require Ouro Plus?

Core tracking for medication, food, weight, symptoms, hydration, and movement is available without an Ouro Plus subscription. Current Ouro Plus features may include planning ahead, grocery lists, the complete recipe library, additional photo meal estimates, recaps, and prescriber summaries. The purchase screen identifies the exact features, price, and billing period before purchase.

How do I cancel a subscription?

  1. Open Settings on the iPhone.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Ouro.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription and follow Apple’s confirmation steps.

Cancellation prevents the next renewal. Access ordinarily continues through the paid billing period, subject to Apple’s policies.

Does deleting the App cancel a subscription?

No. App Store subscriptions are associated with your Apple ID and must be cancelled through Apple’s subscription settings.

How do refunds work?

Apple processes App Store payments and refund requests. Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Support can provide information about an Ouro technical issue but cannot issue an App Store refund directly.

What does a lifetime purchase include?

A lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-renewing App Store purchase associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. Use Restore Purchases after reinstalling or moving to another iPhone. It provides access to the applicable purchased features while Ouro continues to be offered and supported; it is not a guarantee that the Services will remain available indefinitely.

07

Privacy and Your Data

Where is information stored?

Most information entered in Ouro is stored locally on the iPhone. Optional cloud backup is enabled only when you sign in and turn it on. Certain features—such as meal planning, food and barcode search, voice entry, and photo estimation—transmit the information needed to complete the requested action. See the Privacy Policy for complete details.

Is health information sold or used for advertising?

No. Chris Davies does not sell personal information or consumer health data, use health information to create advertising profiles, or disclose it to data brokers, employers, or insurers for their independent use.

How do I delete information?

In Ouro, open Settings → Data → Erase All Data to erase local App information. If optional cloud backup is enabled, follow the in-App deletion controls or email privacy@ouroloop.app from the account address to request deletion of information held by Chris Davies.

Deleting the App removes its active local copy but does not remove information already written to Apple Health, copies contained in device backups you control, or purchase records held by Apple.

Can I obtain a copy of my information?

Available reports can be exported or shared from the App. For an access or portability request concerning information held by Chris Davies, email privacy@ouroloop.app from the address associated with your account.

08

Medical Safety

Ouro support cannot evaluate symptoms, provide medical advice, or determine whether medication should be taken, skipped, or changed.

If you experience severe or concerning symptoms—including persistent vomiting, inability to maintain hydration, severe abdominal pain, or a suspected serious reaction—contact a qualified healthcare professional or local emergency services promptly. Do not wait for a response from Ouro support.
